You will need to reinstall Windows because the new motherboard will use different drivers. You can [link]move personal folders:http://www.techsupportalert.com/content/how-move-windows-7-personal-folders-my-documents-another-drive.htm[/link] to another drive or partition to make reinstalling Windows easier, or just backup everything before a reinstall. You might want to backup some folders in appdata (located here: 'C:/Users/*YOUR USERNAME*/AppData/Local') and then put them back on the new install.
You will need to backup your Steam games. Some other non Steam games might or might not work if you back them up, it depends if they require registry entries to run.
I use Firefox for a webrowser and I have the synch key saved so when I reinstall Windows all my bookmarks, addons and stuff is download from the cloud automatically. Chrome has something similar.
Most software will need to be reinstalled.
It only takes me about an hour to reinstall Windows and get most things back to how it was before. * +

I think that's most stuff covered for Windows and software. Obviously have a look through the C drive to see if there is anything else you would need. Backup any files you need on your desktop. Skydrive or Dropbox might be useful for a lot of smaller files. Appdata is hidden btw, so either type it after your username or enable hidden files. * +

You will need some alcohol to remove the old thermal paste and some new thermal paste to install the heatsink on the CPU. Arctic Silver 5 is quite good, but tbh unless you have heat problems or are overclocking you could get something cheaper. * +

as for reinstalling windows,
you might get lucky...
before reinstalling you should definatelly try to boot into system on new mobo.
if you are really lucky, windows(7) might repair drivers by it self,
else you should still try to boot into ''safe mode'' and try to repair drivers there...
another option is to boot to ''audit mode'' IF you are on win7 or win8,
sysprep AND(!) generalize the system, most likely should work on new mobo
you still need to fix/repair/reinstall drivers afterward...
either way, good luck * +
