I can plug any type of flashdrive in any of the ports on my acer laptop it doesn't start but any other devices start as normal (external hdd, cell phones, etc.) The only way I get it to work is when I uninstall the drivers of all my usb ports in the devices catogory and reboot but then it works only for a few times then I need to repeat the process which is very annoying. Any remedies to permanently fixing my problem would be appreciated! * +

had more than my share of flash drive problems but never all at once. I know the link says hard drive trym anyhow

INFCACHE.1 doesn't exist in Win 8, instead delete the file 'Drivers' in C:/Windows/System32/config * +

u just sell both ur pc and flash drive and get brand new from the store and stay away from this problem permanently bbe... *
