hey guys i got a external hard drive an it start giving prob ofter a likkle while its taken up all the space an wen i connect it to my pc it take a while b4 it connect an wen it connect an i format it its just giving me 250mb a space an some times it saying it cant format it ! plz help guys its a 1tb external hard drive

I'm not sure, but it sounds like either you have a slow connection (USB 2.0 to USB 1) or your USB drive is not getting enough power. * +

its a acer mini laptop running wi n7 an iv try connecting it to my desktop an its saying usb not recodnize i dont know why * +

try going to the external drives manufacturers site theyll often have some tools you can install to check its health or formatt it perhaps * +

As far as the laptop goes, it could be that the USB drive exceeded the power for the USB Port. That's why I always recommend using a USB hub hooked up to its own power supply that is capable of 15 watts. You might also try replacing the USB cable and see if that helps with the PC. *
