Agree with that , The 7950 is a good card and at the moment you can find them for about 170 pounds . My brother has the asus top version and its an overclocking monster * +

sapphire 280x tested show even the asus top falling behind it in overclocking and cooling. its a small bit louder but who cares * +

GTX670/7950 good price/performance sweetspot, at a point where I wouldn't buy anything faster because it'll lose a lot of money in maybe 6 months * +

none of the above, reason being they are consumer grade electronics cards, if your wanting top of the line stuff your better going for a dedicated GPU running cuda and the likes, stuff used to make animated movies and likes. cards will always go in steps its just how deep your willing to let your pocket get. there is also the problem of bottleneck from the cpu and ram installed just not being fast enough for the gpu to work at full cap * +
