Ok i need help. The shut down button on my laptop isnt working ..like it just wont shut down when i click on it or even restart or anything. What could be the problem n how do i fix it? HELP!! * +

why do u need to shut down laptop using button ? just press alt And f4 together * +

The shut down from start option..it was working fine but isnt now.. even the restart does nothing. * +

I'll try the alt+f4 .. rt. now i just used the power off and it did shut down ..its Windows 7 btw * +

try task manager shut down option. if it doesn't work reinstall windows..mostly some systems files are corrupt by the looks of it * +

A couple of times ago when I gave the shut down command,it just wouldnt shut down..it did everything but the shutting down prompt went on n on for like nearly half hr.. i got so frustrated that i took out the battery. Done that 3-4times. Could that have caused a problem? * +
