When Easus found the partition and recovered 1gig in a proper folder structure that I had, i had hope. One has to buy it to recover more. Furthermore my other drives were small the biggest being the above mentioned 80GB so my 320gb data couldn't fit on it. I came across a post saying when you format a disk the files are not really erased but sort of covered. So i formatted and partition guru could see my partitions however it couldn't see everything coz of some bad sectors on HD * +

I soon realized i cant retore toa drive that i'm recovering from. So the genius in me hunted for a full partition guru app, amazing how limited these free versions are. Then i ran it, showed all my files in proper folders and other in lost folders, restored 60gb of data onto the 80gb then moved it to the formatted 320Gb external. Did that with another 60gb, almost like pulling a rug from under the table and putting it on top Ninja style. Recovered 150gb of data this way. * +

So yea everything important I got back and the only thing I lost were movies but those can always be downloaded. Partition Guru is one awesome app considering I recoverd 150gigs from a scan that was only 1 percent completed due to bad sectors. I stopped it after 5 minutes. Chances are I can recover more should I have the time and days to let it scan thoroughly. But there you have it. For anyone who has lost data especially lost partion and even messed up MFT Partition Guru is your friend. * +

conclusion: never, and i mean NEVER, work with free, trial, limited, etc versions !
pretty much same goes for freeware versions... (idea) * +

I recently recovered over 200 GBs of data which had HD movies, DVD rips etc. I used Pandora Recovery. Although some Bin files got corrupted, everything else so far is okay. *
