Iv just overclocked my gpu using a guide and evga precision x just doing a 3dmark test to see any difference but should o overclock my cpu sldo? Will that help the gpu? The disk o got with mh motherboard isbt compatible with windows 8 and it has the apps on for overclocking how do I get it to work * +

th eold test and new test on firestrike. what has worried me is that on test 2 my gpu memory is 3gb but on test 1 its 4. why?

You should download all the software for your motherboard from the manufacturers website. Everything on the disk will be outdated. CPU overclocking should be done in the BIOS, not with software apps in Windows. You will get a higher score in 3D Mark but for gaming you shouldn't need to overclock and doing so will make very little to no difference at all. 3D Mark sometimes reports wrong values for hardware, I wouldn't worry about the 3GB RAM thing. * +

If you have a stock cpu cooler then you should not oc the cpu. * +

The fx-8320 should have a limit of 4.6ghz if i remember right. On some decent aftermarket cooler you should squeese 4.4ghz out of it. * +

Im using stock as the aftermarket cooler I bought was too wide and hit the ram can u buy an extender? * +
