Master boot record. Consider it an index. I thinks it's goosed cos the mbr is fked. Difficult to repair so may have to use some recovery tools to get files off your hdd. * +

Would appear so. Although that may not be the case. Re installing would create a new mbr. Maybe someone knows some other way of repairing it save re installing. Good luck *
