I have an issue with my pc. The screen is not coming on using my normal 2gigs ram but using some old ram it is, however the same 2x 1gb sticks work fine in another old pc. These ram sticks have always worked in this pc but now when i switch on the pc screen doesn't switch on and there is a long continuous beep or a series of beeps then one long continuous one * +

ohk i will try that out. pc is dusty yes but i wouldnt think that would affect ram especially considering the other ram works just fine. have even tried to clear the cmos, different HD. and i can bet i'm inserting them well. * +

as u were saying it works well on another pc and other ram works on that pc so logic says it can only be a connection problem * +

which can be caused by dust or possibly one of the pins in the slot slightly bent or something of that sort * +

i will try disassemble everything and try eliminate the problemone by one. As for internet, days of free internet faded eons ago. BIS is the only thing close to free internet that we have. * +
