The .1 is microfail trying to get windows 7 users to switch by bringing back the start menu and adding a few diffrent things . Windows 8 is a epic fail and nothing can change that . * +

thats correct norega, infact according to statistics it even has less users than windows vista. that fact was announced by tech radar, who also claim that the start button in windows 8.1 will only take you to metro. if thats the case then why bother bringing it back in the first place? waste of time. unless of course the full version will restore all of the same functions it has in windows 7 when the updates arrive later this year? but that remains to be seen. tech radar claim windows 7 is the most popular operating system on the planet closely followed by windows xp, still! * +

I think most xp users are using desktop computers, and they just havnt bothered to replace them cos they have since bought a modern laptop which is now being used as the main computer, while the desktop is more than likely just a back up. the only exception to this rule would be a gamer who would require a modern desktop. after all xp does the job, even if its online security will be under threat next year once microsoft support ends. (april 2014 I believe) * +

lol i haven't installed a single update on my xp scence the moment i installed, only the service pack 3 that is slipstreamed with my xp installation disk. the end of support doesn't concern me, being that i did not use any support to begin with lol! * +
