Legacy support is one of the strengths of PC gaming but in ways also a major weakness of the platform. It's a double edged sword. These days it would be entirely possible to do away with this sort of boot sequence and get into an OS within just a few seconds. there is a solution for that. produce and update the legacy system and the modern system in paralel. everyone is happy and the transition will be easier. i guess. * +

Leagcy support for old old hardware not even capable or running the latest games/os etc is a joke. *
