Iam trying to delete a user account in windows 8, when I googled it I found details of how to do it via metro but it doesn't work cos iam not getting the same options as described online. I've found instructions of how to delete via the desktop via pressing win key then Q key which brings up user accounts in settings * +

then I find the option to remove user accounts but I see no option anywhere to delete an account am I blind? * +

Win + Q doesn't bring up user accounts for me, it's still the Metro cr*p. Press Win + D and then right click the bottom left and select control panel, then user accounts and see if you can delete it there * +

If you don't have a touch screen system then why not install Start Is Back? * +

I've not really used multiple user accounts before but it should be quite simple to remove one, just make sure you are logged in as an administrator and not on the account you want to remove. * +
