Hi guys, i'm not here to ask about how to reflow chip because i can easily find it on youtube. But i just want to ask? Is reflowing gpu chip easy or difficult? Do you have any experience in that? Thanks ;) * +

I tried baking an old GPU once, but I didn't have a very good oven and it didn't fix the card. * +

I would only attempt it if you're prepared to bin the laptop if it no longer works afterwards. There is a fairly good chance something could go wrong. * +

If it does work it probably wont last for very long and you will get the same problem again eventually. * +

I baked a 8800gtx ultra after it started artifacting and it worked a treat . Reflowing a laptop board is a more of a risk . * +

@newt so i have to replace gpu or mobo, right? Sigh... 2 days ago i was hoping that it was bad ram that caused this problem dude. I wish i knew all the bunch of stuff about heatsink, overheating, thermal paste, etc. I think in all laptop forum, we all shoul have a sticky thread entitled 'clean your laptop heatsink before overheating kills your laptop'. @Norega yeah, you're right, i think the risk is too huge.. * +

375f preheat oventhen 8 mins heat. allow it to cool for 60 mins ..make sure no wire heatsink or led or plastic clip goes in ur oven * +

tried it on friends hp laptop..gpu chip was AMD Raedon and yes it's working perfectly..except left side speaker * +
