Hey guys.I've got an Intel P4, E2180 Dual Core 2.0Ghz, 2gb ddr2 ram and 550w psu system. My gpu (nvidia geforce 8500gt 512mb) just blew and I'm in desperate need for a new one. What is outhere that is still compatible and cheap. I'm from SA and my budget is max R1000 but the cheaper the better? Please advise. * +

Well I am assuming you don't game on it? If so then virtually anything from the past 6 years will do as a basic display card. You could probably get a brand new Radeon 5450 for like R450, low power and silent versions. good enough for HD video. Mostly useless for modern games of course but so is the 8500GT. Besides this just go second hand if cost is the main problem * +

I do game on it lol. Skyrim plays on low settings with a bit of lag here and there, indoor watery areas. Cost is a big problem. How about a Geforce Gt610 1gb, will it be compatible? * +

I would avoid anything that has a 10 after the series number, like 410, 510, 610. You wont be playing games with it lol. Also GT tells you it's not very good, GTX is what you should be looking for. * +

What about the 620 2gb? Like I said, money is a problem. If it's at least 10percent better than the 8500gt than it's good enough for me. I'm not a hardc*re gamer anyways. * +

http://alturl.com/kj46k what about this? Like R600 delivered probably. Its a GDDR5 5670. Besides the fact it is ridiculously faster than an 8500GT. You'll be blown away by it after the 8500GT
