Hi guys I want to know if there is a way to speed up the encoding process of making a dvd I am currently using VSOs convertdvd2x software with P4 3.4Ghz cpu. Anyway or trick so that this process doesn't take endless hours for a 1hr dvd * +

Depends on ram and process speed. With the machine you have just encode when you sleep! * +

more ram may help but really if you want faster speeds then a better multicore cpu (quad core with two cores used for the processing) is your best bet, failing that your just going to need to put up with the speed you have * +

You could try winavi video converter, dvdfab, clonedvd, clonedvd mobile. (paid),or handbrake, xmedia encoder which are free. Not sure if they'll work on your hardware though! Try em! * +

Not really. It's your hardware that is the problem. If you had a recent graphics card you could do the encoding on that and it would probably take 10-20 minutes. But I don't know if there are any CUDA supported cards that will go in a PCI slot. *
