I reapplied thermal paste to the CPU and GPU on my laptop the other day. I also found out that the CPU can be replaced and upgraded, it just comes out like a normal desktop CPU. The dam GPU is soldered into the mobo though * +

upgrading a cpu in a laptop isnt worth the money cuz theyre expensive and who knows if a stock laptop cooler can cool it. only things worth upgrading are the ram and an ssd. * +

tried to upgrade my friends laptops 1.9ghz turion for a 2.2 athlon it all fit the socket was the same etc but it wouldnt start at all due to some chipset compatibility issues. * +
