A friend of mine got cheap laptop with win-7 HP he checked though it see if it's all ok and came across in his system that says his product ID is just all numbers but when checked it to my own mine got OEM in it. What does this mean for his version of win-7 *

It should give him a option to check if this copy of windows is authentic,If he got it from a friend he should ask him first *

explain further! OEM or original equipment manufacturer is pre-installed by companies like toshiba etc etc. If its a non oem it just means it was installed via a disc,possibly an upgrade etc. DO NOT GIVE YOUR PRODUCT KEY OR MACHINE CODE TO ANYONE! *
