I have a Gigabyte board with dual cpu and dual BIOS,but cpu 1 runs at 97 degrees and cpu 2 only at 42 degrees? Why does it run at such a high temp and is this too high for a CPU? * +

degrees what? C or F, then again either way it seems to high 30c to 45c is about average, but note cpu1 will always be higher than the rest as it does most of the work, the other cpu's take over the strain when cpu1 is running to much stuff * +

should I then be worried about the temp of cpu1? * +

it is celcius! why does it run so high? both are 1 ghz processors and board is set to run at 1000 mhz? is this the problem? should I reduce it? Could the hardware monitor be displaying incorrect temps? * +

bampop your heatsink must be loose or the temperature is being read incorrectly try another program , maybe the thermistor sensor is dbampop * +
