actually analogue was better indoors providing you were in an area of good coverage. digital signals are more easily disrupted by buildings and other objects. if you ever used a analogue mobile in a tunnel you would get interference but you could continue the call, where as a digital mobile would just break up. don't assume modern technology is allways better cos it isn't! * +

the only reasons why analogue was switched off in the uk was because phone calls could be very easily intercepted with the use of radio scanners. the other reason is that a digital service is cheaper to run and easier to operate. and of course it comes with extra network features. The same is true with digital TV! that breaks up, jumps and freezes and knows what else. * +

isn't modern technology amazing lol! With regards to the 3 network I have no problems whatsoever and my friends don't either so it sounds like your in a bad area, or at least an area with network faults that need addressing. *
