my pc initially worked fine before i took out the plugs from my sata dvd writer and put them back (while pc was off). Now all it does is detect the ram. It doesnt say primary master and primary slave detected etc so it jus stays on that screen. What could be wrong? And my cables arnt loose * +

Try taking the RAM out and then reinserting it. Also, do the same with the HDD cables. * +

a component dying in a pc is nothing you open the case unplug get a new one cheap and install it and on you go. pc simple consoles not so. and the prize difference and awailability is huge
