My machine is loaded with this bad boy, but it doesn't come close beating the i7 and seems to be an equivalent to the i5. I love AMD, but I am losing hope here, I just don't think I can upgrade to another AMD system any more after this. AMD fanboy here in need of counselling!!! * +

Then go Intel.. AMD will never catch up with Intel, all they can do is offer more cores, yet an AMD 8 Core Bulldozer wont beat my Intel i7 2600k.. * +

They haven't had the edge over intel since early 2006 now Core 2 ended AMD as anything but a budget chip maker * +

had an 6000+ and think that was tje last good amd chip, read somewhere single threaded apps the fx chips gets beaten by the old athlone x2 chips, how true is this? * +

Single thread performance is weak on bulldozers versus the current intels. But it will beat the very old athlons * +

Bulldozer performs well at HD better than i7, and it is also better at multitasking. * +
