''The capacity of an HDD may appear to the end user to be a different amount than the amount stated by a drive or system manufacturer due to amongst other things, different units of measuring capacity, capacity consumed in formatting the drive for use by an operating system and/or redundancy.'' http://is.gd/BoXXBS - Link is to Wikipedia. If you somehow skip over the Wiki page, and I have a feeling you will, there is no space to recover. The drive DOES NOT have any recoverable space. * +
