I resently formated my entire hdd wich had 3 partitions. I installed Power Data Recovery v4.0.0 with pro license and managed to recover data from 1 of the drives. The problem is only video files are working fine but audio, softwares, word, pdf docs and pictures ar unable to open. * +

No data recovery software is perfect, you have to expect some data will be corrupted when you format a drive. Congratulations, you have discovered that you need to back up all data frequently.

I'm thinking that it may have been stolen and that it was password protected. So he formatted it and now wants to recover all the sensitive data of the previuos owner. * +
