Hi 2 everyone.My question is, in task manager under the process tab svchost.exe cpu usage is 100.Is it gud 2 my lappy?nowadays my laptop battery drains soon, is it bcos of that svchost cpu usage?PLS EXPERTS help me out. * +

Hlo kaz,Ea its between 90-99.when i use any application svchost drops to 3-5 percent range bt another thng called IDLE SYSTEM PROCESS consumes 99 percent of my cpu.My lappy specs HCL MAKE WITH a1GB RAM,160HDD,INTEL CELERON.Lately i changd my lappys INVERTOR.I was using Eset nod antivirus.nw am using only spybot. * +

1st get some anti virus on there. 2nd, from what youve told me it sounds fairly normal. if you want to see what running open a command prompt and type in: tasklist/svc that will show what svchost is running. 3rd. let the battery totally run out, fully charge it, use till empty and repeat 2times. it might help, no guarantees. * +

Ok thanks.which antivirus u recommend bt dat should nt slow down my system especially browsing nd dwnldng.M using xp prof sp3.is Microsft essen gud also i have norton. * +

i wouldnt recommend norton ever lol. avira, avg or avast are popular. run a full anti virus and malware scan once its all installed as well. id unstall ccleaner as well, itll help clear any cr*p from your harddrive. * +

Use avast professional/internet security or kaspasky. Reduce vga appearance to increase the speed parformance of u r lap. * +
