originaly i had windows xp athome editon, that's been removed by xp pro but i havent the crack, so now im trying to copy linux to a cd but it wont let me run media player has i need to activate windows can nebody help me way out of this plz? pc keeps freezing hence y im trying linux, more ram recently updated but keep getting msg saying not installed properly but yet my computer says increase of ram * +

download a copy, if u got the licence its not illegal, there's an old 9in1 copy out there that works with most oem keys * +

You will need a copy of XP Home and you will have to reinstall the OS.. That is to get your old version back. * +

Wen i switch comp on screen has lines,lik stars al ova screen, switch it off bak on it goes, is that the ram nt installd properly? Bt it seems 2 b in correct if i place it otha way round gt a constant beep wen i switch it on? * +

ram strips should only go in 1 way round they are keyed to make sure u cant put them in the wrong way round, open the clips up push 1 end in first till it clicks then push the other end in till it clicks, you shouldnt have to push too hard and shouldnt have to touch the clips either * +
