Hey guys i'm using a macbookpro 13inch +lion OSX. This morning I was downloading updates via wifi all of a sudden I have the Kernel Panic Error and now I can't boot into the OS. please help guyz. Thanx * +

Sounds like a possible hardware failure since it failed to reboot or do a cold startup.

If is kernel i think u may repear it (OS), if its fail again do exatly as u've advice by mok214. * +

Ok now I got hold of the installation file tried to boot from the external USB instead of starting the installing it just takes me back to the Mac Osx Utilities screen...??? * +

That could mean a bad hard drive, hard drive controller and a myriad of other things. Let me guess, the warranty just expired too.

If you properly backed up, you can boot from an external hard drive and run the hardware test. * +
