Ok, so I just finished one of my projects for Uni when my PC just randomly rebooted, thank god I backed it up elsewhere. BUT, when it rebooted it literally did exactly that, so no blue screen, no sounds, no errors, nothing. When it rebooted the first time, I got the screen before my I can go into the BIOS, which states my gfx card, but it didnt move from that spot for like 2 minutes, and usually I dont see that screen for more than 1 or 2 seconds. I still hear some of the usual noises of my HDD * +

etc but the CPU light is not active. I dont hear the windows login theme so i dont think its my gpu (cant use onboard gfx either), nothing is onscreen-its all black now. Also, I cant switch my PC off after its turned on. * +

sounds like somethings is malfunctioning and it may fry your mobo or psu. * +

just shut it down for a hour, sounds like an over heat problem, hence why no blue screen when its cooled check the fans and air outlets then try again. * +

last time i saw something like this the psu cooler was spinning full speed and it didnt shut down anymore from the power button then went the psu and fried the hdd too. it all started with a mobo malfunction. i could be wrong in your case but dont switch it on untill you find what is causing it. * +
