exactly this path computer/local disk(C:)/users/ there is a folder with a locked icon and a name which I want to change. How do I change the name of the locked folder? I have edited user from registryedit.exe and still the locked folder is still there with undesired name. * +

go in to dos mode, load fdisk, the type in format c: then click yes, after ur drive is formated install ubuntu ! * +

is the folder your trying to rename the same name as your user or maybe another users folder you cannot access * +
