why did you get that 1... the 7 is the only 1 any good in the rnge and only then if its the albino or contagion... you want the logitech g400 25pounds and pretty much flawless for games... * +

the 3 has a dodgey sensor. hardly any configurability. and just is nothing like as good as the 7... take it back if you can and get the g400 * +

even my 7 had to be sent back for replacement so the build quality aint great. over a quater of there mice in there top end have issues which isnt a good thing. seriously you will be lucky if it lasts 6 months b4 something goes wrong. * +

A mouse really shouldnt break. Its hardly pushing the boundarys of engineering * +

these models are pretty much at the forfront of mouse development. they have the latest twin eye sensors that on the rat 7 read x and y independantly on the lower end models they have less sensetive sensors and the build quality it typical saytech. ie not very good. i thnow they shouldnt break but a lot depends on the manufacturing fabs. instead of getting new hardware in to make new hardware saytech are known for repurposing tools and not always getting the best results. the mouse itself is * +

sturdy enough but parts of the designes havent been given the correct re-enforcments the original rat 7 for instance had a second chuck to adjust the angle of the thumb rest. this was found to be a weak point that would break often. on the contagion the chuck is still there but its nolonger adjustable instead they moved it to a more secure housing just under the thumb wheel. making it more robust in the process... but like i say they left the original chuck in place.... * +

http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh314/jaymack71/rat7thumb.jpg on the first pic the thumb adjuster at the top is usable on the next http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh314/jaymack71/r7c_7.jpg its not but still there. reason is claimed as support but its actually because thats the way they originally designed it and would cost to much for them to replace. * +
