Just bought a new 2gb RAM to add to the 2gb RAM i already had, I was expecting to see atleast 3.4 gb usable RAM but i was surprised to see 2.75 gb usable RAM instead. Any tips on how to increase the usable RAM? * +

That doesn't explain why i can't use at least 500mb or so of the remaining 1.25 GB memory, and though my OS is 32 bit, it should be able to accomodate a 4gb RAM perfectly, since 4gb is the maximum memory a 32 bit OS can take, spartan * +

Are u sure abt d ram u bought. Hp u r nt confusing 1gb for 2gb. Also ensure u dont use an higher operating system than d one specified by d manufacturer. Wat ws d Ram usable when a 2Gb is instaled? * +
