if your acer has the same core i7 as your macbook and it runs slower on windows than your mac does on windows then your acer has an issue. if your macbook uses core i5 and your acer has core i7 then thats even more indicactive of a problem with your acer. but if your macbook uses AN SSD hd then obviously it will be faster regardless of cpu in which case it would be unfair to compare it with the acer in the first place * +

and unless iam very much mistaken an ssd hd in a macbook pro is highly likely. therefore if you were to install a simular ssd hd in the acer it would be just as fast on windows if the other specs are simular. bringing you back to square one again! they both share the same components! * +

therefore the only unique thing about the mac is the high price and the fact that its made of an extra special construction. and your paying on average an extra 900 english pounds sterling for that priviledge! and you say it isnt expensive? sounds like you either have your head in the clouds or you have more money than sense, iam not sure which. * +

nah my acer isnt an i7. cant remember what processor its running but i know its 2.2ghz with 4gb ram and its got that nvidia 9500m graphics card (notebook version) mind u my mac is 2.4ghz i7... tomorrow will have 16gb ram with a 128 gb ssd :-) * +

i aleways thought they were overpriced untill Windows lost a stack of photos i did at some Lounge Session. macbook is a definate go for people like me who do music and photography *(Plug and Play) yeah check on Google for apps or even post which apps you looking for i can help link you up. * +
