Hi guys, i just installed windows xp sp2 through Bios and restart. After the installation process is finished, it says:'windows is setting up the following items: load wpi. But why this process is taking a long time almost 3 hours. Am i doing something wrong? Thanks for your help.. * +

Are you using a custom xp disk? I.e downloaded from the net? * +

And in 'load wpi' process, it doesnt do anything, just showing blue wallpaper with the small windows bar and the cursor is shown as load/waiting process * +

Because you're using the 'black' edition of Windows xp, theres a program fused into the startup, its known as windows post install.. And the Black edition apparently silent installs upto 10 extra programs. I've read that this may be down to drivers being incompatible, so first of all, try resetting your bios to fail safe defaults. If to no avail then reinstalling Windows again may be a wise option. Make sure you've no essential accessories plugged in to your pc, i.e bluetooth adapter, gamepad etc..
