As u all know I had my hdd replaced got windows installed wind7 but now it asks that I activate I, I have the product key n ID all I need is some info on how to activate it. Please assist * +

i had windows 7 ultimate on it but then the hdd broke had it replace and they installed wind7 professional, but if i go to action center it says its activated but i keep getting a message i must activate it * +

also when activating online it says, product key appears to be the default product key and connot be used for activation, so does this mean my windows is activated * +

You can go here www.microsoft.com/genuine/validate/ and check if your copy of Windows is genuine. If it is I think that should sort out the problem. * +

If you have a product key for Ultimate, it won't work with any other version. * +
