spec p4 ?? ghz,socket 478 ram ddr400 512 mb,(2x256) hdd 80 gb, compaq pressario s3300kr,its my frnd's pc,i reinstall xp on it take over 6 hours an havent finish yet, i had format hdd and make 2 partition 40+40 gb..nie 1 know why its happen..?? thx before.. * +

no its xp home edition before i reinstal..i know its old one but, i think it shoul be had enough for everyday use such typing etc..but its seem stranger.. * +

Either the cd drive has become weak or the Hard disk has read/write errors(bad sector).... With a working cd drive and hdd, full XP installation should not take more than an hour even with the celerons.... * +

done..finally i reset bios by cleared cmos..with jumper..so bios unlocked by compaq brand..setup bios n pc run smoothly, case closed thx.. * +
