If u can't get task manager, reboot,press F8, and once booted, press CTL+ALT+DEL, select new task, type explorer.exe, hit enter and proceed from there....this should fix u up, but if not, let me know...u can also restore to an earlier date b4 the trojan infection..... * +

There are registry keys u can delete manually as well, and it will work, but I need to know the os ur using..... * +

thanx ungers :-) im running windows 7 basic as it came pre installed on the laptop when i bought it...i would much rather use XP but as the pc is still under warranty,dont wanna change now? * +

thanx ungers :-D worked perfectly,pc seems fine now,pc tools picked up 382 errors in the registry :-O fortunately it fixed it and at the same time optimized my system as well :-) *
