My system worked fine with 350W PSU and Sapphire Radeon HD 6670 card for over three months. Now SOMETIMES, on bootup, there's no display! The monitor just seems to be in standby mode and doesn't say 'no signal'. The onboard graphics works fine. I use DVI connectors on both. The card, when boots up with the display, works fine and do not crashes nor has any other issue. But sometimes it just wont display anything. The card has a TDP of 66W, draws power from the PCI-E slot and has no extra connectors. * +

My guess is similar. Inadequate power supply. But why it works perfectly sometimes? * +

have you taken it out, cleaned it, cleaned the contacts, checked the gfx fan and heatsink? maybe reapply the thermal paste? my 5870 started doing similar (that plus random bsods) after about 6 months, i reapplied the thermal paste, the problem stopped. *
