I dont need a new one? you could really say that to anyone who has no major issues with running their software couldnt you? it depends on if you want better performance which is why people normally update. * +

i have run alot of 32-bit software on 64-bit windows 7 and never had any trouble.However there are 32-bit software which has some parts using 16-bit code and this will cause you trouble on a 64-bit OS. * +

samsung have a close relationship with microsoft and they claim they are launching a win 8 laptop june this year although Iam inclined to think thats and unlikely scenario. the industry as a whole seems to think windows 8 will launch towards the end of 2012. thats in the uk, dont know about anyone else.. * +

win 8 takes a lot of its interface from windows phone 7, iam not convinced thats a good thing lol *
