Ok remove ur battery and the press and hold ur Power On Button for 45 seconds dont leave the holding press and hold for 45 seconds r 1 min then connect ur Laptop charger and on the machine dont put the battery first check it ok its basic troubleshooting of dell if not suceed come back ill guide u * +

most people leave their batteries pernamently attached. over time the constant re-charging knackers the battery and also can cause problems like this. thats why most secondhand laptops have useless batteries. * +

the best thing to do when you buy a new laptop is to remove the battery after its been used a few times and only attach it when you go portable. after all if your near a mains point why use the battery anyway? * +

(with the old nicad type it was even worse butb even todays lithion ion cells still suffer if you dont treat them properly and genuine laptop batteries are not cheap.) * +
