Ok so I'm thinking to get one cos they look like dinky computers. Only issue is the battery lifes r small and they will only accept usb sticks. Now can you help let me know if I can use ms office and norton antivirus on a netbook and how would I put my programmes on it? I have these on discs. Also can I view pdf docs on a netbook. Your help is much appreciated all x * +

Speed will depend on the configuration of your netbook... That means the processor and the RAM.... And as far as MS office installation is concerned, you can always do it with a pen drive... * +

Yea you can buy them from any newsagent, usually between 50 and 300 pound depending on the make and model. * +
