nope from what i gather socket 2011 isnt an ivy bridge part its sandy E. ivy bridge is the dyeshrinked 1155. i think there calling the dye shrunk model of 2011 something else. * +

also the first benches are out and 2011 socket is only between 5 and 17 percent faster per core. so its not really worth the money if you have a 2500k or better. if you can spend near 400 on a cpu then you could get as much as 50 percet increase but thats with 2 extra cores. * +

Yea i know Ivy bridge is 1155skt and my Mobo has support for the 22nm processors as the last Bios update, i'll keep my 2600k for another year or so then, its fast enough for what i need * +

they should show up between xmas and march. like the 58 and 68 series did. its not that long to wait but i fear a lot of peole are expecting to much from the new gen card... well unless they support dx12 people should reign in there expectations... the midrange 7870(if they stick to there naming conventions) is likley to perform about 10percent better than a gtx 580 and very likley to be in a * +

similar price bracket... i would say now is probably the time to sell an i7 920/930 if you have 1 and replace it with a 2011 socket.. if you have an 1155 then hang on to it for the next 6months to a year. as i think theres more to come with better pricing options. * +
