Pretty sure my first w3.1 pc had ethernet, then my w95 and w98 both had it as well, ethernet isnt adsl, ethernet is network, as in lan. * +

Broadband internet came 1st in USA, at least 5 years before Europe. In 2005 only 10 had broadband in UK, for example. And again, ethernet is a Very Common posrt in PCs since '80s, nothing special. And again, ethernet doesnt mean always broadband. An iMac in 1998 had ethernet, but i doubt if any country except USA had broadband at this time. * +

Well as ive allready said none of my win 98 machines in the uk never had ethernet I cant help it if they didnt can I lol? Iam only telling you the facts. There is nothing special about ethernet other than that it makes it easier to get the computer working with broadband cos its the most common connection for adsl to work. No its unlikely those countries had broadband in the late 90s * +

In the care of the g3 imac, obviously 0s9 has the correct protocols for allowing the ethernet to function with broadband. * +

and also I said earlier, even though iam growing tired of repeating myself, I did not say ethernet allways means broadband. I said it was also used for basic networking. but ethernet will function with broadband providing the system has the correct protocols installed for adsl which may depend on the operating system used in some cases. *
