you will need something like getrite or your download wont complete. mobile providers cut the connection every 10 mins or so. forcing you to reconnect. most of the time you wont notice it because it will happen when you go from 1 page to another. but iff you see connecting... message then it means your line has been disconnected and is reconneting. * +

also its actualy better if you use the phone as a modem rather than downloading onto the phone then copying across to your lappy. the connection should be faster and more stable... also you can use any app you want to download. but it is important to use an app that will start downloading from the last byte that was sent if you get dissconected. * +

we have apps for bb that can pause/resume dl's and if signal is good then u can dl for hours with default browser , most of the time with no charges ! * +

thanks jay but our networks work different. unlimited downloads to blackberry r free in south Africa but if u use phone as modem its not free. I managed to download the program using default browser on phone and no disconnection. it took around 3hrs. * +
