18months?! Hmm guess I should wait for some benchmarks to turn up and make my mind up then, if its not worth the extra cash at least it should drive down the older parts * +

Well the GTX480 arrived in march 2010. The new generation is close now. I can;t say exactly what prices and performance you would get, but i would be surprised if you couldn;t pick up a card very early next year that will be as fast as a GTX580 for 150-200 quid *
