i need ur help guys, i mistakenly deleted my entire Videos Library on my pc (acer aspire 5253 - windows 7), i even recycled it, the folder had like 280gig of files, the space isn't there but the files are its gone, my webcam still has its videos, the videos short cut has now turned white, and when i press it it says *windows cannot find the target* have i permanently lost those files? If not where are they coz i didn't retrieve free space after i deleted n recycled. * +

You can try system restore to see if the folder reappears . But don't expect to see all of the files unless you have a recent restore point . When such a large folder is deleted , each file in that folder is removed from the directory ... * +

... so do not defragment or install larfe files or programs . An open source file recovery program may or may not help . It could restore the folder but not the individual files , thus leaving you to have to remember every filename . * +

It does restore folders , at least on Windows XP anyway . I know this from experience . But only when the restore point was recent . * +
