Hey there mates. I have a quick question, do the following components go and work well together? Asus crosshair IV formula mobo, Asus Phenom 965 cpu and Kingston HyperX 6gb 1600 mhz DDR3 ram? Thank you for any inputs. * +

As proton said but why go Amd when intel doesnt cost much more and performs better, thats the question I would ask. * +

depends tho banbury dont it? if you have a really tight budget then AMD's market exists to sell people quads for under 100 quid. However if your budget isn't as tightly limited you can't look beyond an intel i5 2300. You can't overclock them very far because of multiplier lock, but even @ around 3.6ghz no current AMD has a hope of matching it. 2500K is the obvious enthusiast choice. * +

I have an i5 2500k, with 8gb of ddr3 1600 ram and a p67 sli/crossfire mobo and it cost me R3500, which is nothing really, maybe 440usd, and it performs, max out anything and have only set turbo boost to 3.8ghz, max out dirt3 dx11 at 1920x1080 and still getting 60fps * +

I agree, I'd go Intel instead of AMD. You'll have better performance and is much more future proof than AMD. * +
