I have a pc with windows xp 32bit installed, i too have 8gb RAM installed, but my windows xp shows only 3.2gb RAM is installed, is there any way you guys can tell me how to make them visible? * +

A 32 bit can hd up to 4 gig maximum ram. So your 8 gig is not supported * +

Win 7 would be best. Unless your other hardware isn't very good and you have just put loads of RAM in with your Celeron. * +

32 bit windows is limited to how much ram it will recognise and it sounds as though you have maxed it out. In any case you dont even need 3gb of ram is overkill for xp let alone 8gb. Xp simply doesnt need the memory that vista or win 7 requires. Xp runs well even on 512mb lol so 1gb would be ample. You have to change to 64 bit windows for system to use more memory. Aviod vista though, win 7 better * +

I still xp myself quite a lot and ive never found any need for ram in excess of 1gb. Although memory is a good upgrade it does reach a point when anymore doesnt make any difference. Remember that xp will even run on 128mb abeit rather slowly lol. * +
