so there i was, browsing p*rn like a boss, happily minding my own business when i decided to put a dvd in my dvd rom on my notebook and it didnt read it. upon further investigation i found that i have no dvd rom installed in my notebook. i did a system rollback and tried downloading the drivers for the rom but its still not working. the rom opens and closes but isnt being picked up by the machine? * +

I think its broken open your notebook remove the wire blow air in the wire and connect if its internal if not so connect to someone elses pc and see * +

try uninstalling the driver and reboot the notebook when it reboots the notebook should reconise it and reinstall the driver might sort out ur issue * +

@ googley, i thought of that too but there is no driver to uninstall. it's as if there never was a dvd rom in the notebook * +

i also cant reinstall windows because kapow kapow, it doesnt read the disk i put in my rom * +
