from my own observation it seems as if ati cards have more color than nvidia cards... can that really be possible...? i am about to purchase a gfx card... am a lil bit uncertain about this. * +

As for a reply, there are no nice words to explain to you how wrong you're. Answer.. NO. * +

all cards have slight differences in colour. this is just a normal thing. especialy cards from different manufacturers... same with monitors. no 2 makes will have the same colur range.. you can creat an image on 1 piece of hard ware where it looks great trans fer it to another pc that has the same spec but a different card and the coulours could well be off and need tuning to that card or monitor. * +

its the reason you should calibrate your monitor every few weeks or months... as they standardise gfx and monitors to a common default. * +

you can see a similar thing on the consoles. games that are identical do look markedly different because of the colour rang the hardware has been setup to use... most of the time it means ps3 games look a lot brighter than 360 games even though they are lit to exactly the same settings. * +

And still, that very slight difference, has no bearing on choosing a graphics card. Adjust your monitor, the settings in control panel.. It just doesn't matter. * +

it can mean the difference in something looking cartoonish or photo realistic m8... it can be quite important... especialy if you work in the media and want accurate representations of an original photo. * +
