is it possible to embed subtitle into movie so that i dont have to browse to the subtitle file next time when i play the video..i mean making a single file(video with subtitle)? Also is it possible to do the reverse i.e. extracting/removing subtitles from the videos where i dont want subtitles? tnx * +

you need a better player that would locate your subtitle automatically,load it and play it * +

and as for a way of embedding the subtitle onto the video,idk unless merging it with the video itself but that makes you unable to control its visibility and it stays permenantly video itself. * +

yes you can hard coded subtitles onto a movie, 'Any Video Converter' does that... * +

Depends on the file type of the video. Just yesterday I added subs to a film using AVI-Mux GUI. It doesn't convert the video or audio but just adds the subs to the container. Only takes a few minutes. *
