i'm using a genuine operating system. A hp pavilion dv6. I've bin using d internet explorer since i bought dis laptop. All of a sudden it stopped working. Each time i try 2 open it,it opens d window bt if i try 2 click on any link it displays nt responding. Please what do i do 2 get it up and running again?? * +

well which version o.s u using and which i.e u got because i'd suggest updating it if u have already not done so or just uninstall it and install again, just make sure to back up any important bookmarks first * +

in internet explorer,there is a button in preferences to reset all settings. it may do the trick. i'd love to help you in finding it but i don't think i have IE in my pc anymore * +

im my experience if internet explorer wont run or some feature of the program wont work it is due to errors on you hard disk. * +

According to the latest statistics IE is still the most widely used browser, but then thats probably only cos its included as the default browser for windows. A large number of non techies either dont know about alternatives or dont know where to find them or how to download them. Lets face it IE is cr*p and for some reason it seems to be worse on vista and win 7 than it is on xp. * +
